Is attachment healthy? We all get attached to someone, or something or even a place. People get attached to their pets mostly. This is mostly what inspired me to write about this. So most of us like having a dog, a cat , a horse and any other pets you can have/have.

But when the pet, dies you really feel empty, you loved that dog let me say. It has been your best friend for entirely most part of your life. Got used to it, it got used to you , you would play with it. I mean , it hurts or one day it does not come back home😪. I was not a fan of cats but my brother was and he had one and honestly I came to love it. But it died, and you feel the void . Might sound absurd but the attachment really has an impact on someone.

I love animals and love watching animals and they are the best companions. And I see how people cry when their pet dies. It is like a heartbreak , like you lost a friend or family cause they actually play both roles. Everything changes for a moment before you are able to let the thought sink in you that it no longer exists. Introverts who have had pets can relate here.

For being attached to a place, it could be like , ummh that’s the place you were raised. You have found friends and good neighbours. Maybe have a river you like visiting or a tree or something. I hope I don’t sound insane😂.But we have a place we like going to or staying at. If you don’t, my bad then😂.Then after you are just find of the place , your parents or guardian tells you that you are moving to a new place. You are actually reluctant , but because you might have no choice you just have to go. Not having a clue of how the new place will be. It might be better or worse. And again you take so much time before you learn about it and maybe get friends.

Then there is the attachment to someone. Might be your boyfriend, best friend , friend , bro , sis , mum or dad. You have a strong bond with them then (forgive me),death happens, or they go away like get a job or go to school maybe in another country. If it’s a friend they betray you and you just cannot believe they would ever do that to you. We all have been here, friends betraying you or doing anything that you hadn’t thought they were capable of. This is where I think attachment is unhealthy, you might have solely depended on them, physically, psychologically, financially etc it hits different when you have to be alone. It gets hard that at times you might think of suicide. Also something might not have happened but you just are so paranoid of anything happening and you end up worrying for nothing which is also a problem to your health..

Is attachment really necessary? You can have friends who are close but it does not mean you should be attached fully to them that you cannot make your own decisions alone.
